Day Trip to Kalanggaman Island

Kalanngamon Island

We ended up deciding to take a day trip from one of the guys walking around selling trips. I’m so glad we did because it is still one of the prettiest island I have every been to. No on lives on it and it is privately owned so you have to pay for admission to get on the island, but it is so relaxing and peaceful. You can walk around the whole island in about 20min. The water is so clear. Great place to snorkel.

It is about an hour boat ride from Malapascua Island. The four of us decided to snorkel. Albin and Johan swam father then I felt comfortable. I wasn’t sure if I got really far out if I would get to tried coming back. Still new to the ocean. It is a realistic fear so I didn’t feel too bad. Looking back I feel a little silly because I was with others and we float in saltwater. Rebecca stayed with me. I was having a great time seeing the fish and corral. It was beautiful and the first time I have ever seen it in real life. I did see a poisonous snake, but it was swimming away from me… Thank God!

Rebeccca and I relaxed on the beach and watched some goofy people trying to snorkel or swim… or something. I actually don’t know what they were doing, but it was not a normal sight you see everyday. One of the guys that were on the boat ran off the boat to the other side of the island and sat with his snorkel gear on at the edge of the rock and water with his face straight down. Meaning he looking at a rock?! He sat there forever too. I shouldn’t judge other I know, but to be honest it was pretty funny.

They served us lunch which was actually good. To be honest the food in the Philippines isn’t to die for in my experience so far. I’ll take that back the fruit and fish is amazing because it is so fresh. I would eat the fruit salsa everyday if I could. After lunch we all laid on the beach and took a nap. Time didn’t matter today! I didn’t feel the pressure of being productive. I was able to enjoy the moment more than I ever have in my whole life. We swam a little more before we had head back to the boat.

When we got back we all went to Fun & The Sun and signed up for Scuba Diving Lessons. They were all open water certified already so they signed up for Advanced, while I went for open water. I really wish I could have had one of them in my lessons. We were still pretty much strangers, but I trusted them with my life and enjoyed spending time together. My instructor gave me a class book and to me I had to read a chapter before our first lesson that would start the next day. I was so nervous before bed thinking about going scuba diving. I feel asleep with my fingers crossed hoping I live through it. haha! I’m the biggest chicken when I try new things.

Don’t Mind me talking in the video (or) trying to be cool with my short little dolphin swim!! haha!  BUT Really Look At That Water… BEAUTIFUL ♥
