I was new to Australia when I decided I want to go to Wilsons Promontory National Park. I booked a trip with Newbies International (Melbourne). If you don’t know anyone to go with you, it is a way to go and maybe make a friend, but if I had a friend to go with. I would have rented a car and drove for a day trip. You will save a lot of time and money.
My experience with Newbies international was frustrating. We left late, went to a cafe for coffee and spent a lot of time there. When we got to the destinations it was alright. They actually left early on the last destination we stopped at and left what they thought was two people in the middle of no were in the bush and could turn around for about a half hour, because we were in a bus. When they finally got back to get them there was six people they had missed and scared. I would have been pissed. That just put a horrible taste in my mouth and I know they were not organized.
